A true basketball player never gives up. We don’t play basketball because its fun. But we couldn’t imagine life without it. Basketball is a part of us, the love/hate relationship. It’s what we live for. We live for the long practices, cheers, long bus rides, championships, night games, and countless pairs of basketball shoes and long socks. We live for the taste of water or Gatorade and to hear our coaches that yell and laugh. We live for the way we became a family with our team. We live for the countless songs we sing in our head while training all those painful hours. We live for the sound of our heart pulse pounding frantically as we do sets of suicides. We live for the competition, we live for our teammates. The memories, the pain, blood and sweat. It’s who we are. We are Basketball Players. And we all go hard. All day, every day. Basketball is just life. Without it our lives would become plain black and white.
